Just what I love to see floating in my back yard. Sportsmen, the canal is not a land fill!. On Long Island we get garbage pick up 2 times a week, so there is no excuse for this. What makes this worse is that this blue fish was probably shown off to impress their family and friend then tossed in the canal. Blue fish and striped bass will initially sink to the bottom, but will float back to the top after few days as they decompose. If you see or know an ignorant fisherman that discards their racks this way please politely ask them to dispose the carcass properly. If they continue, please retrieve the rotting fish and place back in the anglers boat. Share if you agree.

I see a lot of this in Seaford on my buddies canal. There is one house that the skeletons litter the bottom. I bury mine in my veggi garden or double bag them, freeze until garbage day.

I am with you 100% on this, saw two like this in my canal over the weekend. I hate to say it but too many people just throwing fish in the box they aren't going to ever use or don't know how to use.
