FISHING ABOARD THE "SKIMMER" FOR THE 2024 SEASON

Come and enjoy the great outdoors on Long Island’s unique South Shore. The "SKIMMER" is a 23 foot Mako center console sport-fishing boat. It is powered by a 225 horsepower Mercury brand new and super quiet Four Stroke outboard engine. 


The "Skimmer" was totally rebuilt in 2011. It is equipped with all the latest electronics and Coast Guard approved safety equipment. The newest and finest in fishing tackle including Penn, Seeker, Okuma, Avet, Accurate, Shimano, rods and reels and Ande line are provided free of charge to add to your fishing experience. All bait is provided and very fresh. Very often we start the day by catching fresh bait with the cast net. Bathroom facilities are always within a 5 minute ride from the fishing grounds.

Fishing trips depart from Babylon, New York or from any of the western Fire Island communities. All we ask is that you provide your own food and beverage. It is very important to wear boating shoes or sneakers with light colored soles. Black soled sneakers are not boat shoes and will scuff the boat deck.

New York City Metro Area Connection. Take the LIRR to the Babylon Station (approximately 1 hour) and I will provide transportation to and from my boat (5 minutes)at no extra charge.

Half day trips are 4 hours. 3/4 days are 6 hours and  full day trips are 6 to 8 hours.

To book a date a deposit of $100 is required. The deposit is fully refundable with a minimum of 72 hours notice of cancellation. We will make a recommendation as to the best time for fishing and will work with your schedule. We are flexible and will work out alternative dates in case of bad weather.

 FLUKE,WEAKFISH, FLOUNDER, PORGY, TRIGGERFISH, SEABASS, BLACKFISH,
HALF-DAY.  4 HOURS $800
 3/4  DAY 6 HOURS $1000
FULL DAY 8 HOURS $1200

STRIPED BASS FISHING (3 PASSENGER MAXIMUM)
LIVE BAIT, JIGGING AND PLUGGING FOR TROPHY BASS  - 3 ANGLERS MAXIMUM..
HALF DAY $800 4 HOURS
3/4 DAY $1000 6 HOURS
FULL DAY $1200  7- 8 HOURS

Note: I strongly recommend a 3/4 or full day for striped bass fishing as it will allow fishing two tides,time to catch live bait if necessary and time needed for travel if fish are distant. On half day trips I will only fish waters around Fire Island inlet and Great South Bay. As of 2023 we may keep fish between 28 and 31 inches and all larger or smaller fish must be released. WE ALSO MUST FISH NON=OFFSET CIRCLE HOOKS SO I AM THE ONE
