I did a tower shoot at Spring Farms Preserve with Rich Santos, his son Rich Jr. Frank from Great Bay Marine, Kent and his son Jordan. It was a beautiful day and the birds were flying high and fast. We had a go at almost 300 birds and very few got away. All the birds were taken for home consumption by the group. A great day keeping the tradition going. Jim Conte was the organizer of the shoot and said he will do it again next year. Captain Al Lorenzetti

Indian Island is located on the border of Lindenhurst and Copiague. This land was once going to be part of the American Venice residential development, but was halted due to the great depression. Now the land is a county park and a great place to explore. If you're going to bring your dog with you, be aware there are many areas with broken bottles. When I can I bring a garbage pal with me and clean up after the visitors who don't believe in carry in, carry out. The marker is the easiest location to beach a skiff. Enjoy.
Tim C. Smith Marine Mate of Lindenhurst is going through a big renovation just in time for the 2016 boating and fishing season. More square footage and new shelves means more products and inventory for the local long island boater. The project will completes in time for there annual open house which will happen the first week of April. http://www.marinemateinc.com/ Tim C. Smith
We are trying something new for us for 2016, an audio podcast. So, for our followers who take the train into the city or send time on the road hopefully we can pass some time for you and entertain as well.
You have 3 choices, watch on YouTube, download the mp3 or stream directly from the web. We will still continue with the weekly fishing forecasts during the fishing season. Capt. Al and I are interested in your feedback and there are sponsorship opportunity for anyone that would be interested. Please leave comments below. Tim C. Smith |
