Thanks to the Fisherman Magazine for sending me on another special assignment. Anthony and John of Water Marine invited us down for their 2nd annual White Water Costa Rican Shootout. Check out the videos below for a day by day recap of the adventure.

Getting to the Zancudo Lodge is not as difficult as you may think. There are many flights in to San Jose Costa Rica. The Lodge will set up the short flight to the village of Golfito where the lodge will have a boat waiting for you to transport you to the lodge. 

This beautiful boat was completely restored at Babylon Boat Works in 2012. It is now powered with a 250 E-TEC engine only two years old and with low hours and extended warranty and will run at top speed of 50 mph. It is completely painted with Awl Grip paint and is a very pale green hull and oyster white topside. It is in Bristol condition throughout. It is completely foam filled and unsinkable. The bottom has been completely hand scraped to the gel coat, primed and painted with ablative bottom paint. It has a new 120 gallon fuel tank, extra large trim tabs for super ride, Pro Sea Star hydraulic steering, new wiring, extensive starboard replacement of teak, leaning post and a Lowrance 10 inch HDS with structure scan and Sirius weather/music capability and stereo system. This boat is better than when it left the factory. You really must see this boat to appreciate what it is.The owner is looking to sell it for $47,500 but this price is negotiable. Last year Braven sent me their Bluetooth speaker to test and review. Just yesterday they sent me another product that arrived just in time for my assignment in Costa Rica at the Zancudo Lodge for the Fisherman magazine. The Braven BRV-BANK is a USB power supply that is IPX-5 which mean that it is waterproof and dirt proof. This should be very handy keep my gadgets topped off, especially my GoPro. You can charge two devices at once, one port is 2.1 amps and the other is1. Amps. I will give you my full review and feedback when I return.

Been very slow the last few weeks, sky busters and warm weather had the puddle ducks hiding in ponds and canals, finally some cold ice and wind.. Ducks were flying today. We had Blacks Mallards and Gadwalls decoy in today. Nice afternoon hunt today.. Good to have the birds coming in to decoys today.. Hope the cold stays!
