Another great day on the water!

I fished today with Carl and we had a good time considering the unbelievable boat traffic east of Fire Island Inlet. I would estimate that there were 300 or more boats fishing. If a school of bass showed up and birds got on them 20 boats came on you and mugged you and spooked the fish. The fish were definately spooked as we had lots of follows but they wouldn't take. We had a few nice fish to mid twenties but it would be better with a little more wind and less boats. Lets see what happens after the storm passes.

I fished today with Scott Leonard and we had a great day of striped bass fishing. We landed 38 fish to 30 pounds all on plugs and Tady surface iron jigs. It was hot fishing. Lots of bunker and sand eels with fish boiling on the surface.
Another great day on the water! Captain Al Lorenzetti I received some photos from Ben Cherveny of him and his buddies Timmy Burke, Eric Klien and Chris Verdino having a killer day on the bonito (one 10 pounds) and false albacore somewhere out around the weather buoy. Looks like a non-stop action day. Good going guys!!
