Jim Conte got the ball rolling and I followed up getting people to fill the shoot. We did the work and it went off without a hitch and was a really great time. Lots of good people who we know and love and our host Dave was gracious as always.
We all met up at about 8 am in Sag Harbor at Spring Farms and the hunt started at nine. It was a most beautiful day with temperatures over 60.
The birds flew fast and high and it was a challenge. The dog handlers were great and the dogs are always the best part of the hunt.
The pheasants all were taken by culinary game lovers and there will be lots of game dinners happening in the near future.
Camaraderie is the main focus of a day like this. We had the shoot and the settled in for an after shoot relaxation with a couple of beverages and some great stories and hunting/shooting tales.
Hey Johnny get the Makers and Uber!!! That was the best line of the afternoon.
Another great day of outdoor fun with an excellent crew.
