I was on a joy ride over to Fire Island Robert Moses Park on a beautiful winter day when I came upon a strange scene. The car ahead of me tossed what looked like a granola bar out the window to a fox that was casually walking along the road. The fox looked at it for a little while, sniffed it and then pounced upon it. It was funny to see it chewing on the sticky treat. After the first bite he fell in love with it and was going to town when a few deer came to investigate and horn in on the treat. He dropped it and ran a few yards away but then seemed to be thinking "I want that back". He ran at the deer and they dropped the tasty morsel and he ate a piece of it again and then the deer came back to claim the rest. I took off so I did not see the final outcome but there were about six other cars full of people enjoying the scene when I left.
