I fished today with Mike Caruso and his wife Joyce who are the owners of "The Fisherman" Magazine. Their publication is like the bible to all the Northeast fishermen and woman. We had a good day fishing for any inshore species available. Fluke were short and sea robins a plenty. Tried the weakfish thing but no luck there. However, seabass are king around here and we hit a couple of offshore pieces and did pretty well with a real beauty of just under 5 pounds and a couple more to round out the catch and make for a fantastic meal.
Mike and Joyce are fun to fish with and Mike helps out a lot because he is a good fisherman and gets in there helping out like a deck hand.
Another great day on the water with an excellent crew.
Happy to return some favors to "The Fisherman" publication which has been a beacon on the fishing scene for many, many years. Mike and Joyce have brought it into the 21st Century.
