I did an exploratory trip today and found some great fishing.
There is lots of bait around on the mainland and in the ocean. No fish on the bunker in the ocean but the amount of bait is spectacular. From Tobay to the inlet in 25 to 40 feet of water it was solid bunker just cruising along heading east.
Inside there is a ton of bass from 15 to 23 pounds with a lot of big bluefish mixed in with them. I must have had 15 fish and kept this one for the table.
The jumbos are not here in big numbers as of today but tomorrow could be a different story.
It was hot fishing and the best is still to come. If you want to fish now is the time to book a date. I am getting lots of calls and filling up the best spots. Drop me an email to set a date [email protected].
