I fished today with Nancy and Bill out of Seaview.

We managed to find some bunker in the ocean. There were no fish on them so we moved to the inlet and drifted live bait.

It was a slow pick and we managed to catch a bluefish and this striped bass. The weather was great and it was a pleasant trip even though the fishing could have been better.

Another great day on the water.

I fished today with Carl Curcio and his wife Millicent. It was a tough morning of fishing. The wind was blowing so no bait visible in the ocean. We worked plugs for a couple of bluefish then gave fluke fishing a shot in the inlet.

Millicent hooked a weird double header, a fluke on the top hook and a stingray on the bucktail. We actually managed to get it to the boat on a light bait casting outfit. The poor fluke was drowned after the prolonged fight and getting dragged for so long.

Another memorable day on the water.

Today I fished with Greg Tessar and his sons Matt, Dan and Greg Jr. (Right to left). We had a spectacular day of striped bass fishing on the pods in the ocean.

We had many fish with most in the 35 to 45 pound range.

The wind was blowing and the fish were eating.

This was a great crew. Dad and his sons having a great time.

They won this trip at a National Wild Turkey Federation dinner hosted by Peter Fazio. His game dinners are the best and the prizes are outstanding.  He also does Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl dinners. Greg and his sons cashed in on a great prize and a great day of fishing.

Another memorable day on the water with a great crew.

I fished today with Jeff Sussman and his friends Ira and his son Daniel (left to right) out of Dunewood.

We had a good day of bass fishing with stripers up to 30 pounds. We had a few misses but that is the way it went. You can't catch them all.

It turned out to be a beautiful day after morning thunderstorms.

Another excellent day on the water.

What a great day of bass fishing on the bunker pods.

Here is George early in the morning with a 40 pound bass.

The first pod we jumped had fish on it.

George did a nice release in this fish.

Picture
A little later I got into a nice fish of 46 pounds. It took a hundred yards of line before it stopped.

We kept one fish for the table this day. All other fish were in great shape and released.

Today I fished with Dan and Eve out of Saltaire. We had a good day of striped bass fishing.

We boated fish up to 35 pounds on live bait. Here are Dan and Eve (right to left) with their nice fish.

It was a good weather day but the boat traffic was crazy. We made it a short day and called it good.

The wives came to the dock to greet us and see the fish. In the photo above you can see all the happy faces. Lots of good eating tonight for this crew.

Another great day on the water.

Also, I have two prime dates open this week for charter. The weather looks great and the bunker pods are getting hot. I expect some really good fishing both offshore and inshore. Wednesday and Thursday are available and it is also a moon tide. Perfect for bait and plugs. Email me at captal@skimmeroutdoors.com if interested.

Today I fished with Ben Kaminow and Rob Buetti (left to right).

We had a good day of fishing and it was finally a nice weather day with lots of sun and a favorable wind.

We had some nice bass up to 28 pounds and the bluefish were still relentless. We worked hard for the fish we caught but it is all part of the day. You never know what is going to happen until it does.

Another memorable day on the water with a great crew.

I fished today with Steve Rogers and his pals Chris and Sandor (left to right).

We had a really good day of fishing. We limited out on striped bass in the morning. The fish were really biting and fighting. Still lots of bluefish to contend with and we went through a ton of live bait.

We decided to finish the day with some fluke fishing and caught a nice 6 pound fish.

All fishing was inside the inlet and in the back-bay area.

Another great day on the water.
