Today I fished with Larry Shire and the crew, Buddy, Jack and Nick pictured in front of Larry. We caught a bunch of small fluke and one nice keeper fish. Also quite interesting is the amount of lizard fish in the bay. Over the past week I must have had over a hundred come aboard. In past years I caught maybe two or three but this year they are all over the place and very aggressive on the bait. They love gulp. The crew had a great time and so did I. Another excellent day on the water . Captain Al Lorenzetti Today I fished with Mike Lippman and his sons Sammy and Max and Hannah. We had a good half day trip with bluefish, fluke and seabass. We caught tons of short fluke and one keeper. We also had a bunch of cocktail blues and a keeper seabass. The weather was great but a little windy and we all had fun. Another great day on the water. Captain Al Lorenzetti Today I fished with Larry Shire and Uncle Tom (background right/left) and their kids Abe, Buddy, Nick and Jack (right to left). We had a good morning of bay fishing with a catch including one keeper fluke, one keeper sea bass and 9 bluefish. The kids had a ball and so did the adults. They are great kids and it was an excellent crew to fish with. Another excellent day on the water. Captain Al Lorenzetti Today I fished with Artie Cipoletti and his friends Jordan and John (right to left) on Artie's beautiful 27 Contender with twin 300 Mercury Verados. We trolled the Texas Tower with no results. We then trolled into Hudson Canyon and found some fish about 8 miles down on the east side. We boated a nice yellowfin and also a small Mahi. The fishing was slow and many boats had nothing. We were lucky to catch a fish but it was a beautiful day. Below is some video footage of the dolphin swimming with our boat taken with my GoPro underwater camera. Captain Al Lorenzetti I fished today with Matt Sirovich out of Saltaire. He brought along his daughter Eliza and her friends George and Hollis (Center, left and right). All seven years old and having a great time. We caught a nice bunch of cocktail bluefish first thing in the morning. We then went fluke fishing and caught about 50 fluke but not one keeper. We had a few fish of 18 and 19 inches but nothing to take home. The kids had a blast and were waving to every boat we passed. It was a fun time and Captain Al was working his butt off running bow to stern every minute to release all the fluke. Matt also did a great job of helping me out with all the activities. It was a fun day for all with beautiful weather and a great crew of super young fishers. Captain Al Lorenzetti Today I fished with Kevin Ryan and his good buddy Kevin (left, right) out of Ocean Bay Park. We had an excellent day of fluke fishing in the ocean. We caught our limit of fish up to 7 pounds with all fish being real nice keepers. We fished southeast of Fire Island Inlet. We had to slow troll to catch good as wind and tide were set opposite and we had no drift. The slow troll worked great. Another excellent day on the water. Captain Al Lorenzetti |
