10/24/2012 I fished today with the Jerome family, Jerry, Jim and Mai Lin. We had a great day of striped bass fishing as you can see. It was not easy and the fish were tough to find. We prevailed and had a good time with two fish of 35 pounds and a couple of released fish. One of the released fish was not planned on as the Captain yours truly broke it off while pulling it into the boat. The leader was frayed I guess and the 60 pound leader broke while lifting a 15 pound plug caught fish into the boat. We made up for it after thank God and I was out of the dog house at last. Here is Mai Lin with her first keeper bass of 35 pounds. I told her to quit bass fishing now or be disappointed if the next fish she catches is not this big. We had a great time of it as you can tell by Mai Lin's smile. Another memorable day on the water. Captain Al Lorenzetti 10/23/2012 I fished today with Rich Santos on an exploratory mission. We found fish on plugs and bait but not easy to find or catch. It took some work but we had nice fish and a good time searching and being rewarded eventually. There are fish around but it is not easy to get the big ones. Another great day on the water. Captain Al Lorenzetti 10/16/2012 I Fished today with Kevin Ryan and his good buddy Troy. We worked hard against the elements with a tough northwest wind up to 30 knots. It made fishing tough but we prevailed and caught a nice bunch of fish. The fish were not very big but ran from 12 to 17 pounds and fought hard in a hard moon tide. Another great day on the water. Captain Al Lorenzetti The fish are hot on plugs with all the wind. Wind makes the rips stand up and the fish feed like crazy. Add the new moon and it really takes off. Jumped out today to explore and had numerous fish on plugs up to 28 pounds. Not nice conditions for humans but bass love all the crazy tide and wave action pushing bait in their direction. I am booked tomorrow with a howling wind out of the Northwest but we will catch good. Wednesday looks to be a great day weather wise with some wind but also a good day to plug and work live bait. If you want to fish Wednesday then email me and you are sure to have a good day. 10/5/2012 I fished with Gregg Weisser and his Wife Jane out of Kismet. We did a half day in the morning. It was slow but we did manage a fish of 17 pounds caught on a live bunker. The day began real foggy but then cleared out and turned out to be a beautiful day. It was a good morning on the water. Captain Al Lorenzetti 9/27/2012 I just got around to posting these photos of a large whale feasting on bunker schools in 15 feet of water only 50 yards offshore of the Tobay Beach Pavilion. Here it is heading back offshore after about 15 big mouthfuls of bunker. I'm not sure but I think it was a finback whale about 50 feet long. Here it is taking a huge mouthful of bunker right on the beach. It was pretty cool seeing this happen |
