I fished today with Pat Murphy and his grandchildren Jim, Ted and Shannon (left to right with Pat in background). 

We had a good morning of striped bass fishing and a little fluke fishing. We got lucky with one striped bass of 24 pounds. We dropped two more fish but at least we got one.

Later in the morning we tried some fluke fishing but only caught shorts.

I apologize for the poor photograph but I think that it was so muggy that the lens had condensation on it.

Here is Jim with the striped bass he caught.

And here is Ted with a short fluke that we returned to fight another day.

It was a good morning on the water with a great family.

Today I fished with Tim and Tina Ryan and their kids Lachlan and Mia.

We tried for striped bass for a couple of hours and did not have a bite. We then switched to fluke and were rewarded with two keepers including a nice 5.5 pound fish. We caught pretty good on bucktails and pink Gulp.

The weather was pleasant and pretty cool on the water compared to back on the mainland.

Another great day on the water with a great family.

We fished live bait and had four fish up to 25 pounds today. As has been the case it was good action early then slow the rest of the day.

Bait is still tough to get.

An excellent day on the water with my regular crew and a fun time.

I fished with Scott Fucci and his cousin Don (right to left). We fished live bait and had a good day with six bass up to about 20 pounds.

Once again it was good action early but slow later in the day. Bait is getting tougher to find.

It was a good weather day with no wind and comfortable conditions.

Today I fished with the Affenita Family, John, Dad Vincent and son Vincent (left to right). We had a good day of fishing live bait for striped bass.

We ended up with seven fish up to about 20 pounds.

It was good action and a good weather day so we all had a good time.

I fished today with William Wolcott and his fiancee Liz. 

Every year I donate a fishing trip to Ducks Unlimited as a supporter for their live auction at the annual meeting and Gala at the Racquett  Club in Manhattan. William bid on the trip and won so today was the fulfillment of that pledge. William and Liz are also strong supporters of DU and anyone that loves the outdoors and hunts waterfowl should also belong to this great organization.

We had a good day of fishing and finally had a great weather day. We caught bait early in the morning and then fished until 1 pm. William and Liz both had fish and all were in the 18 to 20 pound range.

It was fun fishing on a beautiful day with a great crew.
