I fished today with Mark Epstein out of Saltaire and Rich out of Kismet.
We had a great day of striped bass fishing in the ocean east of the inlet. There were a ton of big Yellow Eye monster bluefish mixed in and creating havoc on our terminal tackle but the big bass were mixed in and we caught real well
Here is Mark and Rich with the 38 pound fish Rich took on a two ounce Ava jig. We also caught well on the "Savage" sand eels and pink Shimano Wax Wing. The Wax Wing worked very well when the fish were on the top. We probably had over 15 bass and 10 big gorillagators with a bunch of missed, broken off and you name it. It was great fishing and you didn't have to be where the birds were.
Another very great day on the water doing what I love so much.
