Today I fished with Mark Epstein, Barry Schula and their friend Joe (left to right) out of Saltaire.

We had a great day of striped bass fishing on the bunker pods. Today there were fish on just about every pod. The ocean was beautiful and the fish were on the feed bag.

We kept four fish up to 42 pounds and released a few.

There was a ton of bait both west and east of the inlet today with fish taken both ways.

It was a memorable day with lots of action and perfect conditions.

Mark having a great time as he usually does. He is cool all the time and loves to hunt for the fish just as does Barry.

We all had a great time.

Today I fished with Greg Tessar and his sons Matt, Dan and Greg Jr. (Right to left). We had a spectacular day of striped bass fishing on the pods in the ocean.

We had many fish with most in the 35 to 45 pound range.

The wind was blowing and the fish were eating.

This was a great crew. Dad and his sons having a great time.

They won this trip at a National Wild Turkey Federation dinner hosted by Peter Fazio. His game dinners are the best and the prizes are outstanding.  He also does Ducks Unlimited and Delta Waterfowl dinners. Greg and his sons cashed in on a great prize and a great day of fishing.

Another memorable day on the water with a great crew.

What a great day of bass fishing on the bunker pods.

Here is George early in the morning with a 40 pound bass.

The first pod we jumped had fish on it.

George did a nice release in this fish.

Picture
A little later I got into a nice fish of 46 pounds. It took a hundred yards of line before it stopped.

We kept one fish for the table this day. All other fish were in great shape and released.

Today I fished with Ben Kaminow and Rob Buetti (left to right).

We had a good day of fishing and it was finally a nice weather day with lots of sun and a favorable wind.

We had some nice bass up to 28 pounds and the bluefish were still relentless. We worked hard for the fish we caught but it is all part of the day. You never know what is going to happen until it does.

Another memorable day on the water with a great crew.

I fished today with Steve Rogers and his pals Chris and Sandor (left to right).

We had a really good day of fishing. We limited out on striped bass in the morning. The fish were really biting and fighting. Still lots of bluefish to contend with and we went through a ton of live bait.

We decided to finish the day with some fluke fishing and caught a nice 6 pound fish.

All fishing was inside the inlet and in the back-bay area.

Another great day on the water.

I fished today with Carl Curcio out of Oak Beach.

We had a good morning of striped bass fishing on a not so nice day. The wind was blowing and the ocean was a mess. We worked plugs and bait for a nice bass of 30 pounds and a smaller fish of about 15 pounds.

We also had a keeper fluke.

Overall it was a great success with good company and good fishing. Another excellent day on the water.

I fished today with Jerry Puccio and his friends, Darren, and Carlo (right to left).

We worked hard today for fish but found a couple. The wind was blowing and the bluefish were chomping. It was tough but we prevailed.

We had two nice fish one on bait and one on a plug.

The weather and bluefish hurt us today but that is the way fishing goes. One day easy and one day tough.

Over all it was a good day with a good crew. Fish in the boat and another great day on the water.

I fished today with Mark Epstein and his pal Ken ( right to left) out of Saltaire.

We had a good day of striped bass fishing. Bait was tough to get today but we prevailed catching a limit of bass to 25 pounds and bluefish.

It was a beautiful day, probably one of the best days this spring.

Good friends, good weather and good fishing makes for another great day on the water.

I fished today with Nick Santos who is on leave from the Coast Guard and heading to Alaska for a two year stint.

We had a great morning of bass fishing. We netted a bunch of bait and fished them in the inlet.

We had nice fish to over 30 pounds.

The action is heating up. Good bass fishing for the next month.

Another great day on the water.

I fished today with Jeff Miller and his buddy Kevin (left to right),

We had a good day of bass fishing. We had to work hard for some fish but it payed off late in the day. Caught all fish on live bunker.

Netted bait in the ocean and fished them in the inlet.

Jeff and Kevin were troopers and the enthusiasm lasted all day. We had some slow periods but they prevailed.

Another excellent day on the water.
