Took my friend Rob out for some Ducks today, beautiful day on the water. Set up our decoys in the bay and hunted from shore, lots of ducks flying but only managed a brant. Decided to move out to the ocean, well that proved better, Lots of birds flying, took down a few Black Scoters. We are still leaning about this sport experimenting with different chokes, ammo ect. These sea ducks are tuff! Here is Rob with a Black Scoter taken down with a Remington 870, Primo passing Choke and Federal waterfowl 3.5 #2 shells... On a side note, while hunting the wetlands off babylon/lindenhurst we have seen lots of oil in the marsh, the after effects of Sandy, it is bad. This is not good. Rich..
