Big Fluke in the Bay
I fished today with Norman and Julia of Queens, NY and Mark Epstein. We fished out of Saltaire and started the day with some fluke fishing. We caught some great fish and had a great time on the most beautiful of days. We had 8 keepers to 7 pounds and the rest were all good and over 3 pounds.
All fish were on bucktails and Berkley Gulp. They were smashing the baits.
Bass fishing is slow right now in our area with a fish here and there. We hunted for bass but came up empty. Lots of bait around and just waiting for the next body of fish to show up. It could be tomorrow I hope. There are bass schools at Debs Inlet and off New Jersey so any day it could happen with the bait living in our area.
