today I fished with Vinny Afflixio and his friend Tony (left to right). I have known Vinny for many years always seeing him on the water and saying hello but never fishing with him. His wife bought him the trip with me as a birthday gift so I finally got to fish with Vinny and also got to meet his good friend Tony. They are good fishermen and prevailed on a pretty tough fishing day.
We started out east of the inlet where the fish were yesterday and there was lots of bird action but no fish. We decided to head west and it was the right move.
We had a good day working west and chasing striped bass in a pretty tough ocean again. The fishing moved to the west off Tobay and the fish were moving fast.
We jigged up about 8 or 10 fish before calling it a day.
Another excellent day on the water and a good crew.
