The action is happening big time. Striped bass on the pods at Jones Inlet and nearing Fire Island and as a bonus bluefin tuna in the pods. A bluefin weighing in at 66 pounds was weighed in by a striped bass angler. Other anglers had reels stripped by bluefin while fishing for bass. I will be targeting bass on the pods and bringing tuna jigging and spinning outfits as a back up. Next week should provide great action and I have a couple of open days mid to late week.
