Photographer and multimedia producer Tim C. Smith has previous traveled to exotic fishing hot spots including Alaska, Mexico and the Galapagos islands. This assignment will be unique for Tim because for seventeen days he will be out to sea on the long range sportfishing boat the Excel. The Excel is the most technically advanced vessel in the San Diego long range fleet. Tim will take advantage the vessel's satellite internet connection to post daily reports from the deck of the Excel. The anglers on this trip are all from the Northeast including Striped Bass sharpie Capt.Al Lorenzetti of Babylon and John Nappo of Trophy Tackle who's shop specializes in the needs of the long range fisherman. John will bring along the latest line of Penn Reels capable of battling the biggest Yellow Fin tuna found in the Pacific.
The Excel will start its journey on February 1st and fish all the way down to Cabo San Lucas. After a short stay in port the Excel will head north and fish it's way back to her home of San Diego.
