It's official, New Jersey angler Paul Galasso is The Fisherman Magazine's 2011 Dream Boat Winner. Watch this video of last week's drawing at the New York Boat Show. Paul won himself a wickedly well-equipped Hydra-Sports 2300 thanks to his 18-pound bluefish. My boat the ARGO is nearly 25 years old. I have filled and painted the deck in the cockpit with non skid 2 times since I have owned her, and that has been 13 years. In the last few years a new solution is available for worn out cockpit's. PlasDECK has the look of teak and holly without the maintenance. The product is made from plastic and should give years of maintenance free beauty. Marine Plastic Innovations of West Babylon is helping me with the project and I will document the whole process here on skimmeroutdoors.

This interesting newsreel was produced in 1936 and was shot on Long Island New York's Great South Bay. This video was given to me in the late 1990's with not much information. As you can see after watching this newsreel, embellishing stories to make them more sensational was common even back then. If you have more information about this newsreel I would love to hear from you. please comment about this video
